4th of July

We spent the 4th of July weekend at the Richardson's cottage in Grand Haven and it was nonstop fun!  Grandpa Mike and Grandma Lisa were visiting from China so we were all extremely excited to see them :-)

I was in the water the whole weekend with Emmie, the Richardson granddaughters, and their friends.  Mr. Dave did a great job dragging me out there the first day so I wasn't scared to swim by myself after that!

I loved it when Mommy spun me around on this tube!
Look out Emmie, I have a GIANT water squirter!

Just doing a little shopping in the front driveway.

Good food and a table full of ladies - doesn't get much better than that!
Three generations of handsome Mayra men!

The Wanderer...

Everybody ready?  Look out down below!!

I'm so excited that it's my turn...but what is this huge thing on my head?
I don't care - I still love it!!
Who says card games are for ages 3 and up?!

Lovely Mayra women :-)
Uncle Rich, Alexa, and I were waiting patiently in the hot sun for the 5-ft sundae to come out at the ice cream shop called "The Front Porch".

Everybody is still waiting...
...and here it is!!!  Dig in everyone!
Well after all that hype I decided that a plain vanilla cone with sprinkles sounded better.
And so did most of the other kids :-)
But not Koen!!

Here I am all slicked up after my bath from Grandma Lisa...I have a feeling Mom wanted a picture with me so she could laugh at it!
I definitely think so since she took a picture of the back of my head too!

Loving our cousin Isabelle :-)
I was trying to hold the pack together, I really was!  This was as close as we came to a decent shot of all 4 cousins :-)
The whole Mayra crew!
The weather (and sunset) was gorgeous!
We went to a parade on the 4th - not sure what the deal was with the giant cow, but it was entertaining!

Another (very unsuccessful) try for a cousin picture, all riled up after the parade!

Time for the sparklers!

We got to decorate our own 4th of July cupcakes with frosting and sprinkles.
What a sweet way to end the weekend!
Grandpa Mike, Grandma Lisa, Auntie Nina and Isabelle came to Chicago the following weekend to stay with us before Grandpa & Grandma went back to China.  We had another great weekend together!
