A Few Weeks at Home

After many weekends away, we've actually been home for the second half of July and have thoroughly enjoyed it!
This was the first of our Saturday mornings at the beach for the summer - in mid-July!
Mmm, tasty sand!
Hangin' with Asher...and looking like trouble :-)
Mom and I made M&M cookies for our block party and I made sure we both had our aprons on, because this gets quite messy as you can see!
Loving my brother :-)
Koen's sense of humor is a little odd sometimes...

4th of July

We spent the 4th of July weekend at the cottage in Spring Lake and the best part was that Grandpa Mike and Grandma Lisa were there with us!  They were visiting from China and we had so much fun together!
We spent most of our time on the beach and in the water - this water trampoline was a kid (and adult) favorite!!
Emmie and I getting escorted out to the trampoline together...
Emmie liked showing Koen how to play with the toys, and he was enthralled as you can see.
There was a full house at the cottage and I loved playing - and eating - with all the kids.
Daddy got sparklers for all of us - my first time holding something burning!
Another baby joined the crowd on Sunday night and we were all so excited to play with her...well everybody except Koen I guess :-)
Koen enjoyed his bonding time with everyone.
 And so did I!
I can't think of a better way to end the day than relaxing in the hammock with the girls!
I'm not sure what Emmie is doing to Grandpa Mike, but it looks like fun!
Pa (i.e. Mr. R but I call him "Pa" now like his granddaughters do) and I worked hard in the sand - and then Olivia joined us too.
Poor kid...but he sure looks cute!!
Daddy took me on the jet ski - woo-hoo!!!!
It was a perfect weekend!

Koen's 9-Month Stats

Yup, 9 months old already!  I am growing up fast!  Here are my stats from the doc in June:
Weight: 19 lbs (25%)
Length: 29.5 in (75-90%)
Head: 18 1/8 in (50-75%)
So as you can see, I'm tall and skinny just like my brother.  But that's where the similarities end!  I have no interest in crawling and prefer to just sit and be content.  I am quite fascinated by Noah and really get a kick out of him.  He makes me laugh a lot and I get a little whiny sometimes if he isn't playing nearby or paying attention to me.  I got the hang of the napping thing a few months ago and typically sleep from about 9:30-11 and 2-3:30, then 7pm-7am at night.  Mommy is so thankful that she got another great sleeper!  I'm eating all sorts of foods now, but only in mushed-up form - I do not like anything chunky and have no concept of what it means to feed myself.  I can pick up the Cheerios they put on my tray very well - even one at a time, but I don't know what they are for.  They tried to put one in my mouth a few times and talk about GAG - no thank you.  Basically, I'm just a happy little guy - easy to please and sweet as can be :-)

It was a long day.
I must be an angel baby - Noah gave me a halo.
I love hanging out in the water table - or what I like to call my personal pool.
