May Happenings

My school has a multi-cultural festival every year and each grade represents a different culture/country - preschool represented Brazil this year and we learned two songs in Portuguese that we sang at the festival.

Grandpa Bob and Grandma Chris came to visit for Memorial Day weekend and got to see the multi-cultural festival too.  We also went to the beach and Nana was here for a night too so we all went out to dinner.

I bought two goldfish with my own money that I earned from my allowance.  I love having pets and taking care of them!

Mayra Family Visit

Grandpa Mike and Grandma Lisa came to visit and we had so much fun!  We played lots of games and went downtown and had a picnic in Millennium Park.  Koen got a new bike without pedals for his early birthday present and he loves it!  It helps kids get the hang of balancing without training wheels and I quickly learned how to ride my bike with out training wheels after practicing on Koen's.

We also got a new tree planted in our backyard!

We all went up to Milwaukee for the weekend to Uncle Doug and Aunt Lyn's house for our cousin Rachel's college gradutation - Koen quickly became a HUGE fan of Rachel :-)

They do actually have these around here - just need to be willing to make the drive out of the city!

No Training Wheels!!!!!!!!!

Happy Easter!

We spent Easter in the U.P. this year - first time for us boys! The weather was beautiful - we decorated our Easter eggs outside!  We played lots of games, went ice skating twice, and spent tons of time outside working with Grandpa Bob, throwing rocks in the creek, and riding on the 4-wheeler.  We even went to the camp on Lake Superior one day and got to play and walk on the beach!
